All Mountain

Widely regarded as one of the worlds best, if not the best, coffees, Jamaican Blue Mountain is a rich, smooth roast. This aromatic and flavorful coffee has to be experienced to be believed.
The beginning of Jamaica's Coffee Trade
The history of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is also rich and interesting, such as coffee itself. According to legend, King Louis XV of France sent three coffee plants to the French colony of Martinique around 1723. Only one of three plants survived, and this particular coffee plant was given to Sir Nicholas Lawes, a former governor of Jamaica, about five years later. Once This coffee plant arrived on Jamaican soil, a crop of coffee was quickly established through the soil rich in nitrogen, potash and phosphorus. Less than ten years later, the export of coffee was already begun. More than 600 coffee plantations had been established by the nineteenth century.
It is believed that all coffee plants grown in Jamaica today are descendants of that single plant, the variety typica arabica, who arrived in Jamaica from France, through the island of Martinique.
The Blue Mountains Factor-Why do not the taste of coffee so good?
The fantastic taste Blue Mountain is achieved by a combination of three different factors: altitude, a special kind of rich, nutrient-laden soil called volcanic soil, and the treatment received the processes of beans, once they are collected.
The hub of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee production is, of course, Jamaica Blue Mountains, a magnificent mountain that rises more than seven thousand meters above sea level. The high altitude, thick cloud cover and low annual rainfall in the region all serve to slow the rate of maturation of the crop of coffee. In this region, crops take up to ten months to mature, while in most other parts of the world, the average time taken five to six months. The longer aging produces beans that are larger and have a more concentrated and complex flavor.
Like any other mountain in Caribbean islands, Jamaica Blue Mountains are the peaks of extinct volcanoes. Throughout centuries of eruptions, the soil has created on the tops of the Blue Mountains has become extremely rich in substances nutrients due to the decomposition of plant life, and the deposition of biomass accumulated. This land is extraordinarily rich, is an important ingredient in the production of exceptional quality coffee beans that go into every cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee.
This is not the whole story, however. There is Another important factor, without which the Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee would not be as highly regarded as it is today. The production and distribution of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is strictly regulated and protected by the Jamaican Government to ensure that every toast, and each cup produced is of high quality.
For example, only coffee grown at altitudes between 3,000 and 5,500 meters is authorized to bear the name of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee. If the coffee trees are grown between 1,500 and 3,000 meters, the coffee is known as the Jamaica High Mountain Coffee, and the plants grown under 1500 feet are medium mountain Jamaica Jamaica Supreme coffee. These regulations ensure that all Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is grown in special quota that late maturation of the coffee plants and produce, that share complex and rich coffee. In addition, there are geographic requirements and the requirements of elevation, in the sense that bear the Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee plants to be grown in one of only four parishes in the region.
Another unique aspect of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is the pulp and wash the coffee beans are allowed to age for a total of six weeks, which is particularly unusual part of the preparation process. Finally, before the export of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is allowed, is controlled in appearance and taste, to ensure that each batch of coffee is of high quality.
The best way to Enjoy Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee
Once you have made the effort to buy one of the best coffee in the world, it would be almost criminal if there is no guarantee that coffee is properly stored and produced!
Storing your coffee properly requires to be sealed in an airtight container, away from any foods with strong odors and flavors, as curry powder and other spices. Refrigeration in an airtight container is the ideal way to store the beans ground.
You can keep the coffee tasting large cleaning your coffee immediately after each use. Never use detergents or other cleaning products in your coffee, this can affect the taste.
